The story
Why we built this.
Peer-to-peer marketplaces — OLX, Vinted, Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist — solved discovery. Millions of items, all searchable, all geographically close. But they didn't solve trust. Every transaction still ends in a sketchy meet-up, a leap of faith on a bank transfer, or a "sorry no returns" message after the box gets opened.
The existing answers don't work at scale. StockX-style platforms only cover sneakers. Vestiaire only covers fashion. eBay's authenticity guarantee is patchy. And none of them work across the listings already happening on the open marketplaces where most people actually sell.
So we built huccy as a service that sits on top of the marketplaces that already exist. You keep listing where you list. We handle the inspection, the escrow, the shipping, the report. You get paid; the buyer gets exactly what was agreed. Fraud doesn't have a place to land.
We're starting with consumer goods. Vehicles and real estate are coming — the bigger the transaction, the more huccy matters.
